OUR COURSES
We are proud to offer to much needed practical assistance by way of our training courses for the litigant in person (LIP) or self representing litigants or organisations who are either involved (or about to be involved) in civil or family law litigation either as a claimant/applicant or defendant/respondent. We have identified that there are no face to face courses aimed at providing real world training directly for litigants in person. Conducting ones own litigation can be a frightfully difficult and daunting thing to do. These days 10,000s of people each year are either forced or choose to conduct their own litigation, often due to the prohibitive cost of legal representation. The civil justice system can also seem totally daunting and bewildering to many and whilst there a resources available in the public domain there is little in the way of basic training for LIPs who are endeavouring to conduct their own cases. That’s where we step in. Our intensive courses aim to provide real, practical training delivered in small groups with a focus on arming you with the key knowledge to help you better navigate your way through your litigation. Whether you are entirely conducting your case or using a direct access barrister our courses will be of real assistance. Our focus is entirely practical, packed full of tips and guidance on the traps and pitfalls that can befall the unwary litigant. Whilst we obviously cannot turn you into a lawyer in just a day, we believe that our courses will help demistify the justice system to better equip even those with no knowledge and equip participants with much needed practical knowledge. So, whether you are thinking about or already involved in litigation or a complete novice then our courses have much to offer whether you have some knowledge of the system or none at all.
Our courses are designed and delivered by barristers with years of experience in helping litigants in person and very much focus on the things that you cannot learn in a book. Our course have limited numbers to allow for maximum interaction between trainer and participant with plenty of question and answer time throughout the day.
